Hang for 5-10 secs

When ever i play a graphic demanding game, like Counterstrike, Need for speed:- Underground, it runs well for a few mins, like 20mins to 1 hour. Sometimes it will hang for around 5-10 secs in between.. which is very irritating. Is it because of my 3d card overheating, or is it because of spoilt ram, or maybe because of hardware not compatible? It couldn't be any of them are not up to standard..

You definatly have a strong enough system which does lead back to cooling.Its very possible that the video card is getting warm.Do you have plenty of fans in your case?Try removing the side of the case and playing.Round IDE cables are also a worthy investment not only for cosmetic but cooling purpose's.The bigger the PC the more cooling it needs.If you find playing without the side cover helps then look into getting more fans and round cables,if you dont already have them.

Also here's a for the newest nvidia drivers and another for the latest version of DirectX.

I've already open up ALL my casing. I've even blow my fan towards my casing. But still the problem is there. I've updated all my hardwares/softwares. i also suspect it is my ram having probs... is there any way to check my ram?
