burning back up games

i have recently made some back up copies of my xbox 360 games the problem is when i come to burning them they are taking forever to complete about 2/3 hrs normally is there a way i can speed up this process

I'm reluctant to comment due to being unsure about the legality of creating backups of console games.

I know there's a fine line between a 'backup' and a pirated copy too, which doesn't help.
