IMO its gonna rock all.
By the video demos I have watched I think its going to be great improvement over todays games. You get to be a lot more involved in the environment. ie: picking things up and throwing them.

I'd pick Doom over Half-Life most deffinately... it will slap the hell outa HL2.

total ownage man! I can't believe the differant ways of killing enemies... grenading shafts, luring bugs after guys, picking up things and throwing them with the kinetic weapon etc...

Half Life 2 was desiged to have graphics as life-like as possible. Everything will look so real compared to other 3D games. It is coming out before doom 3. Half life 2 is coming out sep 30.

All i can say is that i have to buy a better video card... while the 1st gen radeon 32mb card I have would technically play the game, I am thinking that I'd enjoy the expiriance much better with a newer/faster unit. From what I have seen it'll be november till we actually can get HL2 so I'm waiting to see what happens in the video card market in the next month or two.
