Do you think there's a new Beta version? I have been using it for almost 2 months now.

Ive been using it a while also Daninku but I usually like to try it for a few weeks before I let people know. Sometimes people can get pretty nasty when you send them off to download something and they have problems. I think you know what mean.

For anyone who's interested ... the link to MSN 7 Beta is

Personally I like it... I like to have a good fiddle with loads of daft stuff.... maybe I have an empty life venney :D Btw venney, if you don't like the features don't use them !! Mind you I suppose you could have some mates who overuse them... hehe

I used to use Yahoo quite a bit and I loved the features on there... and I think MSN messenger is moving more towards that. I like the buzz/nudge on Yahoo better actually, its got a little more impact... the MSN one is dead wimpy.
Tis all good in my opinion.

Word of WARNING

Seems there is a slight flaw in MSN7. Last night i was chatting with someone I talk to often on MSN and all of a sudden I got a notice of a file transfer. Having talked to this girl often I didnt suspect it would be anything maliscious. Turns out it was a self extracting exe called lexplore.exe but showed as a different name. Here is some of the info from Symantec but this file was moved around a little differently than how symantec says.

So just beware, it seems some brilliant hackers have figured out a way to send this file from other people that you dont suspect.

That's quite scary.

I don't think it's a flaw with MSN 7 though... just a general security risk with any traffic between computers.... especially messengers and the like.

For those who are a bit spooked by the insecurities of any kind of instant messenging, take a look at this:

It has been literally years since I have used any instant messaging at all.

To me it became more like instant interruptions, and then there was the
hiding from some but not others and who was visible to whom.
I just uninstalled it and never looked back.
