Anyone here an FTP expert? I have a problem.
Posted: Tue Nov 30, 2004 3:14 pmI occasionally FTP files from my PC to my laptop using FlashFXP. It's been very fast for the first two weeks I used it transferring files at 3-5mb/s. The last two nights it's been between 42-46kb/s and very consistent like it's maxing out at a limit. It climbs rapidly to 44kb/s and then it's just flat. Something must have changed on my PC but I'm not sure where to even start looking. I updated my NIC driver and that had no effect. I tried a different FTP client and it topped out at 44kb/s like FlashFXP did. I checked the cables to make sure there is a good connection and no cables were kinked or anything like that. Any suggestions?
