Burt... In the Outlook Express main window go to Tools / Options / "Compose" Tab. From there you can choose the default font for all the email you write. If you just want to change some of the text in a message then go ahead and type it and then highlight it. Now "right click" on the selected text and choose "Font". brad

Thanks Brad--That didn't work either. I finally solved it. Tools-Options-Read-FONTS and I took it from there. My only problem now which is very minor, when I start a message the UNDERLINE is automatically enabled. I just click it to disable and I am OK. I keep forgetting to disable it when I compose so I have to delete what I stated and begin over again. Any way to disable UNDERLINE until I enable it?

Thanks

Burt... In OE go to: Tools / Options / Compose / "Font Settings" (Mail) and uncheck the box next to Underlined.
