Notepad/Wordpad issues

Postby Dave_Lethal » Fri Dec 30, 2005 6:49 am

Alright, I'm having a problem here. I just wrote the tablature for a song using a program called Instab. I also tabbed it for a guitar website using one of their templates inside their browser. However, when I copy and paste the tablature into Notepad or Wordpad, it looks horribly wrong and different. Here are some screenshots of what I mean:

This is how it should look

And this is how it looks in Notepad and Wordpad

Any idea on how to fix this?

Have you tried pasting into MS Word?
It should be able to handle the formatting OK

If you did this on a web site then you should be able to “Save As” from the “File” options.

I have tried MS Word, and it does the same thing

The website I did it on gave me a blank tablature layout, I copied and pasted that into a boxed area on the page and deleted each - and replaced it with a number, and did that for the entire song. Then I submitted it, but it has yet ot be approved or I would post a link. I copied the entire thing and tried to paste it into Notepad, Wordpad, and MS Word and all 3 of them came out looking crappy like that. I tried messing with Word Wrap and various other features, and nothing seemed to work.
