new hardrive question

I have a a7v333-x mobo
xp2400
512mb RAM

I am debating on whether to go serial or ultra ATA. Is my mobo compatible with the new serial ATA, and is the performance gain worth the price increase????


Also I am going to upgrade to 1gb of RAM and would like to find out if i have pc2100 or 2400 is there a way to do so in BIOS or something

u could also try aida 32 for finding out pc specs personally i couldnt get on with sandra good luck
