Hi

I hope this is the right forum.

I just bought this cable (VGA PC/TV). Tried to connect it to my TV. I use it along the Video cable (yellow/video connection) Unfortunately I can't get either the sound nor the picture from my computer on the TV.
I wonder if I am doing anything wrong. It is as the manual describes it.
Anybody knows how it should be connected?

Thanx for any help

Hey buddy.
Im afriad the yellow wire (s-video) is video on, no audio.
When you have a scart lead (from a playstation for example) you have 3 wires going into the plug which is yellow (video) white+red (left and right audio).

I dont know why it isnt working, but i dont think unless you have a wire the sound will come out of the tele. you will probally have to play audio through your pc speaker system

Thanx for the response dude...

sorry, mistake here.

Yellow IS video. Nevertheless, it does not work. With the connection of all the RCA unit (yellow red white).

well, the thing is I am not sure which video card I have.
I have a PC laptop (about 5 years old) and a Mac laptop - brand new.
Neither computer connects. I mean no video no sound.

The cable I have is a male to male VGA cable

sound is not going to travel through a vga cable, your going to need an adapter such as this

For your video, you need something like this

I think venney and i were both under the impression you were trying this with a desktop machine with tv out capabilities.
