I was on a 2 meg connection for £18 a month

After ring and saying " i was thinking of switching to sky broadband"

Hey presto i now have a 4 meg connection for £10 a month for a year

So get calling and save money and even upgrade your connection for quicker downloads..........

I'm glad you were able to save money and get a faster connection. However, isn't a sad state of affairs that you had to call and threaten to leave in order for them to give you the better deal? Why do companies do this? Why don't they just reward thier customers for loyalty?
