Hi yall,

my kids recently poured a whole cup of water into my laptop. I went to bestbuy and they said that it will cost my around 1k to fix it, and so i was like screw that. They said that the MOBO, and power are dead.

Can i find mobo parts for laptops? and powersupply?

bsxiong,

Let it dry out completely before you try and power it up.
Take the covers off for the battery, hard drive, Ram and any others you have.
Use a blow dryer set at low heat to help dry things out.

I have seen a laptop that had beer spilled on it and it came back to life after rinsing it and drying it out.

As for replacement parts try ebay.

Only if the system has been powered on and there was water between the cpu pins.
