Hi every one.
I just upgrade from DSL 1.5 MB line to a 9MB line from Cox. and I wanted to know what
the diffrence is between cat5 and cat6. I hear that cat6 is better then cat5.
If any of you know or used cat6 please tell if its worth getting cat6.
Thanks.

Category 5E runs at 100 mhz, Category 6 runs at 250 mhz the higher the mhz the more throughput you will get.

Cat6 has better shielding and will reduce the Ambient Noise or Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) than cat5

Cat6 has less Impedance (resistance) then cat5 therefore it can have a longer run.
Cat5 maxis out at about 100 feet, cat6 maxis out at about 1000 feet

Just to make things clear the cat 6 is a waste of money. You won't see any improvement over the cat 5.
