thanks for your reply
and in reply to that
i chose the dual core because of what else it offers. I know its not the best performer in games. I've heard that the X2 is very good at handling more than 1 program open at a time, and I'll be ready for the multi threading applications of the future.
I chose the 4400+ as I belive it was the best money for performance.

With the mobo, i was recomended it by someone because it's a gamers mobo. I know it can take SLI and im only getting one card but I was considering getting a second in the furture if i need it.
and that multi purpose do hicky as u call it =P I just think it would be really useful for when when someone brings over a digicam and i can just stick the memory card in and read off it instantly, it also tells me heat of my comp and stuff.

I wanted 2 GB of RAM because all the new HDR in games requires it. and if I got a few programs on the go at once it will be able to handle it that bit better.

lol, £ aka squigly L  is a british pound.
and i don't know where you got £2410 from =S
i worked it out to be £1683.13 aka $3007
that may seem like a lot to you but this price was exactly what I was expecting to pay..... ish =P
thanks for your feedback, I appreciated it :)

yes, my hifi is a noisy biatch. huuuuuge heatsink on the back and skitzo fan. I only have that on when I got music on though so I don't really hear it. I've got a 5.1 headset to drown out the RealWorld™ when gaming really matters.
