You might check the studs in the new case that you used to screw the motherboard in place with. Is it possible that one of those studs is under the motherboard grounding it out? If you put a stud in the wrong place and lay down the motherboard, you won't see the error if there isn't a hole for a screw.

You might also try another power supply--some of these $19 dollar cases have a power supply that say 300 watts and I'll bet that they're really about 180 watts.

I would start with the basics. Take all drives out but the master HD and the CD. See if it boots and allows you to install.

Well the new problem with that computer now is for some reason it will not post for anything. I have taken the RAM out to see if it would beep craziliy but it did not. I also put that drive in another PC to see if it would be detected but it would not. I do not know what to do with it. I am just going to buy another HDD and then try to work with that one. Maybe you could help me with the current not POST ing problem. The board is not shorted, power runs through it. I have even taken the RAM out as stated above. What should I do know.
