Ok This computer is about 4 years old and Ive added various thing throughtout the years. Anyway I was playing a game this morning and all of a sudden the computer just turned off and I couldnt turn it back on at all. I felt my pc and I noticed it was very hot on the outside. I tried reseting and using the power switch on the back but nothing happened. So I unplugged everything and opeed it up. The inside was also very hot.
Now I left it open and put a fan on it to cool it down. When I tried to turn it again I noticed the fans including the heatsink moved for like a second and a green light on the motherboard went on but still no full power.

What could have happened? I feel like the fans went dead or something since it was so hot. Its a possibility they went dead last night because i noticed my dvd burner drive was hot last night but didnt think to check or feel anything else. Maybe the power supply went dead? Too much dust I heard can cause a shutdown also....?

Anyway I want to be able to access this computer again. What do I have to do and what do you think happened in the first place? I should be getting a new computer soon anway so I was just gonna transfer a few of the components inside to my new one anyway including a hard drive. I can just transfer my whoel hard drive still intact without formatting right?
Please help guys......I dont know what to do.....

Thank you

I guess it all depends on the person you bought it from & the warranty - he may rebuild you another to replace it, or he could take yours back, find out what's wrong with it, get it working, then ship you the fixed version. Or they may come & fix it on-site. It all depends on them really - either way, I doubt you'll get to keep it :P
