me and a friend are building a computer from parts and we thought we could tackle it on our own.. we connected everything but we cant get the computer to turn on. power is on and the motherboard seems to be getting power (led's light up on the mobo) but we cant get it to boot. were doing a complete rewiring but we NEED help.. well do skype video call or any other means.. we just want to get this thing running.. thanks to anyone that can help.. were desperate here just wanna get this beast to WORK! haha =P

I can only help troubleshoot a bit:

1 - do the fans power on?

2 - do you hear the hard drive working after a while?

3 - did you seat your CPU correctly and does it have thermal paste applied to it between it and the heatsink?

I recently had a sudden problem where my computer wasn't even going to the initial post screen even though everything would power on and when I re-seated and re-pasted the CPU and its heatsink everything was fixed for me - but your issue could be many other things still

please try to re-seat all the power connections to the mobo and fans and other parts too, it may do the trick
