Upgrade Videa Card???

Postby PearlJamaholic » Sat Apr 21, 2012 9:20 pm

I'm still using my old Dell 8400, have been looking to build my own PC but just short on the cash. Anyways Diablo 3 is coming out and my X300 card wont pass, not sure if i can even upgrade this thing to get it up to speed for it, but D3 has a pretty low min requirements so maybe there is a chance i can find a card that will fit this thing that will allow me to play D3 next month....

any help or suggestions???

it appears that your motherboard has a PCI-E x16 slot on it, so why not look for a Nvidia GTX 295 on kijiji or something for $100-200? It's a dual GPU card with about 2GB of Video ram, I think it's DDR 3 if I recall correctly.. supports up to Directx10. It's a few generations old but still a beast of a GPU, and for all I can tell your computer can handle it just fine

it works with your motherboards pci-e x16 slot, but the card is very big so good luck squeezing it into the case. I'm running 2 of them in quad SLI right now

one thing to watch for is you might want to upgrade your power supply unit also.. I had to go to a 1000w psu to support both cards, I don't know for sure what you need for a single card
