External HD Problem

Hello. I am currently having a problem with my external HD. I have a 1.5tb Samsung Story Station. Whenever I try to add more files to the hd, I get an error that says g:\filename refers to a location that cannot be found. I am thinking that my HD is corrupt. It can only hold about 2gb of files, then when I try to exceed that limit, I get this error. Is there any way to salvage this? I am on Win 7 if that's any help. Thanks in advance!
