Laptop Monitor Issues

Postby Jazzman » Thu Sep 21, 2006 9:48 pm

Hello all!

My Packard Bell Easynote laptop has a minor niggle. The screen is very dull. In the past, when the system was plugged in the monitors backlight was strong, and when you removed AC power it went duller (presumably to save power). Nowadays it seems to stay dull, and it's driving me nuts. My whites are grey, and my computer looks like it's falling asleep!

I've looked through Display in control panel but can't find anything there, and same goes for Power Options.

Does this sound like a broken monitor? Any suggestions at all?

With thanks

I am not familiar with Packard bell laptops but there should be a way to adjust the display intensity.

Usually through alternate "F-Key" functions by this I mean you hold down the Alt or Ctrl key while using the F-keys.

Look closely at your F-keys there should be small icons that represent what the alternate functions are.
Look for one that is a sun or some type of light / dark icon.
