Distorted Sound from DVD Playback

Postby MysteryMan » Mon Feb 20, 2006 11:01 pm

My son has started to get problems with distorted sound when playing DVDs on his PC.

Up until a few weeks ago, everything was fine. Then he tried the Star Wars disk that he'd got for Xmas and had problems. Like a berk, he attempted to clean it with a dry tissue!!!!!! That didn't help and ever since he now gets problems with all DVDs - even ones that were fine beforehand.

However, it seems to be fine when playing music CDs.

Anyone got any thoughts on what could have gone wrong? :(

You could try using some new Software. It might not be the drive, but the software you're using to watch DVDs.

Just a thought.

I use powerDVD, it's pretty good.
