Turning on PC after long time..almost an year!

Postby patkim » Mon Dec 26, 2005 7:37 pm

If PC remains switched off for number of months, will it affect BIOS/CMOS, battery etc and would it fail to boot?

I still have preserved my old Celeron 400 + Mobo + AGP card + RAM and cabinet for more than a year. Now I plan to build low end PC using these components alongwith adding HDD and monitor etc.
Without monitor and HDD, if I turn it on and get single POST beep, can I safely say that at least at basic level things are ok?

Thanks,
