PC wont Work Correctly Help Please

Postby kingcrx » Tue Oct 14, 2003 9:33 pm

I recently installed a new power supply and in the process I took up two wires from the mother board and I don' t know where they go. The pc turns on, but the hard drive does't boot. The drive lights are on but the drives don't open. Any help will be appreciated. The power supply is a AT power supply. The computer is a older computer. Why won't the hard drive power up. The power wire from the power supply is hooked up and the data cables are hooked up.

if the HD is physically not spinning, it might have been taken out by the old power supply when it went bad. If it still spins, you may have bumped one of the Ribbon cables out.

Give us a little bit more info on the mystery cables that you don't know here they belong
