The new card i got is diffrent from the one that was orgialy in the computer well it fit in the slot so i figured it would work. But now i my computer crashes or freezes a lot and i dont knw what to do. i got a blue screen telling me stuff about how to change stuff with my computer bio and memory shadowing and chaching. If you guys have any suggestions or comments let me know.

If this has only started happening since you bought your new ram.. I would suggest the following steps

1. Try reseating the ram
2. Try it in a different slot (if you have one)
3. try the new ram by itself in the slot your old memory is currently in (we know the old slot works.. this will tell you if it is your ram at fault)
4. Take the memory back to the store you bought it from

might be an idea to take your old stick of ram in with you too if you have to get an exchange.. the guy at the shop should be able to find a matching dimm type for you. :)
