Error Durring Install

Hi, this is obiously my first time trying out linux but im having trouble with the install, i got the 6.10 i386 vers. Ok so i burnt it to a cd, when i goto restart my cpu, it boots up, at the menu i goto STAR OR INSTALL UBUNTU, then it goes to the ubuntu loading screen it seems to finish loading then some errors quickly flash on the screen. Then the message
Permission Denied

Permission Denied

Pops up and stays there, or i tryed and restart it and did the same thing but the message

User not known to the underlying authentication module

pops up the same as the permission denied did.

Or maybe you could recommend a different version i could try.


Any suggestions id appreciate it. Thanks

Or if you could recommend a better version for a beginner.

I tried to install but during installation my system shut down automatically.
