So have either of you tried the new release yet?

I'm thinking about upgrading my current version 10, rather than doing a clean install. I have mine all dialed in as a local LAMP server with a ftp server setup for easy file transfer from our other systems. I really don't want to go through setting up all the access permissions for ftp and the LAMP again if I can avoid it. So much so that I'm going to image the drive first before doing the upgrade.

I have and it looks fantastic. It took me a little while to get used to it (Mac users should have little problem) but once I did, its quite nice. If you are only after running it as server, then perhaps it's not worth the upgrade. The majority of the upgrade in version is focused around the Unity UI.

If I could somehow install Adobe Creative Suite on Ubuntu then I would use Ubuntu for everything.
As it is almost all of the graphics we do on the Mac now, it's just better when it come to larger files sizes. On Windows Illustrator will slow down on a 50 mb file where the Mac doesn't show signs of slowing until the file size is above 100 mb and the Windows is a faster system than then Mac.

Guess I'll hold off on the upgrade for now, I do have another system I was given that I'll try Ubuntu 11 on.
