usb problem

Postby JROK » Sat Jan 16, 2010 8:43 pm

I was attempting to fix my USB because it wasn't recognizing flash drive or camera. It was recommended to me that I delete all of the components under the Universal Serial Bus Controller tab on the device manager. I did that restarted and attempted to reinstall the components. The Intel(R) 82801DB USB Universal Host Controller-24C2 (also 24C4,24C7, and 24CD) reinstalled, but the 4 other components did not (Root hub or something like that I forget). They are listed as Unknown Devices in Device Manager. I tried reinstalling the drivers several times with no luck. I updated the chipset driver also with no luck. I tried using the XP install disk to reinstall drivers, but that didn't work either.

What am I doing wrong?
