I have this unusual fault occasionally when I try to install various software, but only on very limited software and I know the software is compatible. To be exact, Norton Firewall 2002, and various Microsoft applications, such as Microsoft Works 2002. Upon running the CD, I get.... "Error 1606 Could not access network location%program files %/ICQ/549cd/My pictures/." I'm running XP home edition, 2002 service pack 1 on a stand-alone PC, . Nobody I know can give me any good leads on this one. I've even tried the Microsoft support on the website and it gets me nowhere...
