I was at a friends house and we put AVG free anti virus on his laptop xp pro, did a scan and found 700 virus and ad-ware. I ask to shut down computer which I did. When I tried to reboot it asks for a password to log into widows which it never did before. We have no idea what the password might be so we cannot get into windows. In safe boot it still asks for a password and in the bios I cannot do anything about disabling the password. Is this a virus or what? Sorry I wasn't smart enough to write the virus down.
