Fix MBR

Postby DLShAdOw » Sat Jan 05, 2008 10:12 pm

I recently installed a copy of Kubuntu on a separate partition, but now I want to remove it. Unfortunately, in order to do that I need to fix the master boot record so I can boot straight to windows and bypass the grub loader. Is there any way I can fix the MBR without having a windows boot disk handy, and if not how can I procure one?

The only way i know to do it is with a windows cd using recovery console.

Without a disk, you can try this

I havent used it myself but its suppose to be an image that can get you to a recovery console.
