White screen,,,restore active desktop a script error?

one of my members (Boat36) has this problem and I know NOTHING about script errors,so I sent him here to register...and post question!
In the meantime,any ideas to share with me on the subject?
I'm at a complete loss of info!........Thanks...............Arty :)

It sounds like he may have been using a web page for a background. Have him change the desktop background to the default windows XP and reboot. If no error occurs, he can then change it to whatever he wants.
