Staying connected when switching users

Hi,
I was just wondering is there any way to remain connected to the Internet when you switch users in Windows XP? (on the same PC)? It's quite annoying and it costs to keep reconnecting every time somebody wants to use their accounts.

Two things.

#1. No, you cannot remain connected.
Reason: When no users are logged in, the drivers and settings have not been loaded and will remain unloaded until a user logs in. Then, the drivers will load acoording to how a user has his or her settings enabled, and what they use that would require drivers. (ie. Network Card/Modem) So, when no users are logged in, there is ,at that time, no drivers RUNNING for network card/modem. And that, is why you cannot remain conected.

#2. If your ISP is charging you to ocnnect to the internet, my suggestion would be to switch ISPs. Much rather, SWITCH TO CABLE. Even though you are NOT "Connected" in the "Select Users" screen, as soon as a user logs on, it's connected. So, if you have the money, go with cable
