Sytem Idle Processes

Sorry but I have to ask: In what way could the "System Idle Process" be bothering you. Are you having problems? Just need a little more info, please.
If you are talking about the fact that it runs at 80-100%, that's how it is supposed to work while no other processes are running.
If you feel like there may be something running you might want to run to detect and remove spyware.
It could also be the window's indexing sevice running which could be disabled.

Okay, system Idle processes runs (as you can see wen you press ctrl+al+del) at about 0-85%. t mostly runs whil I am browsing the net, when my pc thinks I'm not using any cpu. It is just annoying because my hard disk s fairly old and is not the quietest thing around. There are no suspicious activities on my pc, I have stopped all unimportant services but can't find a way to stop this one running. It runs about every 10 minutes nd is especially annoying on a night when my parents are in bed.

Have you stopped the "Windows Indexing Service"?
