windows wont login wierd, start up never seen before

Postby Kzz5 » Sat Sep 10, 2005 11:53 pm

ok first i took out ram from my other computer to put in my newer one, i kno they are compatible, moving on, when i booted windows it showed the screen that asks u to start windows normally cuz it couldnt start up, so i took out the ram, and my computer booted, but this screen came up saying wrong password, when i click ok, the screen goes away, i press alt escape and the login screen comes up, i put in my password and sn, and it goes away, to the same windows screen, doesnt go to desktop or anything, when i press alt escape again nothing happens, this keeps hapening, one time it said regedit recovered 1 file succesfully, and then that screen again that stays there, i did that thing awhile ago where it auto logins in for you, i dunno what to do :(

edit: im running win xp sp2

i did find a trojan a few days ago, i always keep my comp running, this was the first time since then that i restarted it

yea you can just reinstall windows that should keep your files as long as you dnt format it :). You could of tried when you saw the safe mode screen to press ctrl + alt + del and run new task either cmd.exe or explorer.exe and see if that worked..

Or you can boot up safemode with command prompt and delete all your temp files. then reboot and see if it improves.
