Problem with right clicking w/ the mouse

Postby hue_jass » Fri Sep 09, 2005 7:10 am

GRRRRRRRR....

sorry im back now, after working on another project in another city, another country.....yea so all is good Im back to working on pcs @ my college.

now to the problem:

Recently as in like the past 3 days, I noticed when ever I right click a file (say I wanted to right click and then DELETE the file, or right click to Send the file elsewhere, or Open it with a certain program) well it used to take 1/10 a second to bring up the menu. Now it seriously takes like a minute and freezes up my computer (arrow turns to the hourglass icon UGH)

I really cant think of HOW to fix this problem, and ive looked online for another similar situation. None so far.... so I was hoping somebody hear might know of a FIX?

thanks lots,

It looks a bit complicated and I haven't had time to read it but I just found

Other than that.... have you scanned for spyware etc ?

Were you logged on to a network before this happened?

It sounds like it is searching for a network drive and this usually takes a few minutes to time out and fail before the program gets down to execution
