I thought the Boxkill had fixed it...All seemed quiet. But guess what just popped up again...Yep..AURORA.. It seems its like a Cluster bomb which spews out all manner of Nasties...Its everywhere..Ad-Aware cant handle it neither can that new Microsoft anti spy thingy..I have just done a bit of surfing around Web sites and it looks like there is no cure for it as yet..Very worrying.. :( Woodworm is easier to get reid of. If anyone can kill it please let me know..This thing must be stopped..??

Thanks for all your efforts so far.

Mark.

There is a new fix out now:
Please download Nailfix from here:
http://users.pandora.be/bluepatchy/nailfix.zip
Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet.

Next, reboot your computer in Safe Mode
Once in Safe Mode, double-click on Nailfix.cmd
Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear,
and a window should open and close very quickly this is normal.

Then run HijackThis, click Scan, and check:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.

Restart your computer in normal mode and post a new HijackThis log,

We are so close :)
Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and"End Task"or"End Process"on each of the following:
(They may or may not be there)
mmdgpm

Use Killbox to delete this file:
c:\windows\system32\mmdgpm.exe
using the End Explorer shell option

The damn thing has just popped up again and its visible in my Reg viewer..? It seems to resist everything you throw at it. I have followed instructions to the letter.. :( I have Norton Ghost running. Do you think if i travel back in time a couple of weeks i might be able to get rid or am i looking ata System restore job.? If i leave it there what harm can it cause. any idea..

Thanks for help so far buddy. I hate reporting back with the same negative answer..Sorry.

Mark.

Let's try one more HijackThis log
And do not reboot until I reply
I'll try to get everything in one shot
I think that c:\windows\system32\mmdgpm.exe is getting renamed on each reboot.
