Repairing IE

Postby venney » Fri Apr 15, 2005 10:17 pm

Hello, i want to fix this stinking problem i have with ie. It just sometimes stops working and just loads like a blank page, my net still works cos firefox works, but msn messenger wont when this happens. Im blaming ie for this so i wanna fix it.

I cant find the uninstall/repair option tho.
Controll pannel, add/remove ie6 - not there, so how do i remove it? Or does any one know where i can download the install file because i imagine that would give me the option of repairing.

Thanks

Venney

Go to run->regeidt

To reinstall only the Internet Explorer 6, use the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383}

Change the IsInstalled from 1 to 0

restart your machine
