very unusual favorites problem

[badpolarbear]

Ive been working on something for the past couple days and nobody seems to have an answer. Now I may be dumb but putting a site in Favorites does not take a rocket scientist. Heres what going on. I send a link to a site to this lady and she opens the site in IE. She clicks on favorites, add and then OK. She goes to Favorites and its not there. We try it again, this time same thing except it says the site already exists do you want to overwrite it. we say yes, again Ok. Back to Start Favorites and look, its not there. The temp solution we used was open IE, go File, send, shortcut to desktop.
