Hello all,
I have a question that is probably simple and I am just over-looking something but I hope someone can help me out. I have a Windows 2000 machine that will not shut down; what I mean is it goes through shut down but will not stay off, it auto matically restarts itself. My first thought was a BIOS setting, but all of that appears to be on the money. Anybody have any ideas of other things to check? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

Do you get a BSOD? If not you probably want to set it so it will. I believe that if it is like XP to go into the start up and recovery options and unselect the automatically restart option.

You should check your power management settings to make sure its set to turn off and not reboot.
