Uninstalling second windows

Postby XiL3D » Tue Jan 25, 2005 11:00 am

ok heres the problem...

A friend bought an ipod and only had win 98, so i installed win2000pro(it said it needed win2000 or xp[stupid sh*t]) and it didnt work. there are now 2 copies of windows on the one drive (didnt partition)

Now her parents are getting xp and would like me to uninstall windows 2000pro. i dont know how to accomplish this as ive only done it with a secondary drive ie i move all stuff that is needed to other drive and format.

help?

ps - excuse my ignorance if this is a simple task

If your going to install XP then the XP setup will give you the option to perform a clean install and format the drive. Win 2k will also give you that option to format the drive before an install. So, you have 2 choices, use the Win 2k disc and let it format the drive and do a clean install or wait until you install XP and do the same.
