IE6 SP1 Gotta Go

I am trying to restore IE 5.5 from IE 6 SP1 on my windows 2000 OS,but when I go to add remove programs and click on uninstall I only have the option to repair internet explorer.I don't have the option to add a componant or restore to the previous windows configuration. I had windows 2000 service pack 4 installed but removed it in order to view the IE 6 uninstall option in my add remove programs. Is there a way to restore ie 5.5 without reinstalling my OS?

To uninstall IE 6 from windows 2000 Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type the following command, where C is the drive where Windows is installed:
"C:\program files\internet explorer\ie uninstall\w2kexcp" /u /q
If that does not work then you can do an In-Place Upgrade of Windows 2000
Insert the Windows 2000 Setup CD into the CD-ROM drive, start the computer, and then press a key to start from the CD-ROM.
On the Windows 2000 Setup screen, press ENTER Click Accept to accept the License Agreement.
Setup should now detect your installation. NOTE: If the Setup program does not detect a previous installation but just continues to the partitioning screen, there is a problem. An in-place upgrade may not be possible.
When you are prompted to repair the existing Windows 2000 installation, press R. Windows 2000 Setup performs an in-place upgrade of the existing installation. Note that you might lose some of your customized settings for the system files.
An In-Place Upgrade does not change the installed components and programs, any passwords, third-party registry entries but it should roll back you IE to the base version

yeah, try that first then if that doesnt work, then go to pref. on internet explorer 6.0 and change the default user to 5.5 ie. -LOM
