I would try this, go to Control Panel and Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices. Select Sounds and Audio Devices. Go to the Audio tab. Make sure the Audio Recording is set to your sound card and not windows default.

Let us know.

Tried that, It wasn't, so I changed it, and.......no change........

. Oh well, back to the drawing board

Just to make sure, I booted into me and everything's still ok there :cool:
