Duplicate Folders

Postby Geekgirl » Mon Nov 01, 2004 3:05 pm

In Windows XP, is there a setting that creates duplicate files & folders? I'm not talking about the Backup feature either.
While in Windows Explorer, all the folders are listed twice and they all contain the same information.

Tarylynn synchronizes two folders and all subfolders within. It is useful for a quick backup to a network drive, or copying files to a laptop. The program is very easy to use, just select the two folders to compare and choose to copy folder from the left to the right or vice versa. You can also delete files that are not contained in one of the folders. The differences can be previewed, so you ll know beforehand what files will be processed.

Haven't heard back from him yet with results.
Will suggest chkdsk Restek if needed.

And he said that ALL folders are duplicated

Thanks for replies :)

Back up what he needs to a CD-RW or DVD-R and redo the bloody ol thing if need be! Run Ad-Aware 6 with the latest Reference file, Scan for viruses, and run Spy Bot search and Destroy, all I can suggest!
