XP SP2 & WMP...Must save mpg's instead of opening??

Recently installed SP2. Now when I try to open an mpg with Windows Media PLayer, I get prompted to either save to file or desktop or cancel. Before SP2, it would open automatically. How can I remedy this and get it back to normal? Thanks in advance!

You may want to upgrade to the latest media player. Media Player 10 doesn't fight as much with SP2 as media player 9.
