Hello ...After freshly installing Windows 7 Ultimate on a Lenovo T61p with 4GB RAM and 100GB HD i went to Windows Update from Start ..but the system just keeps searching but not finding any updates .

I have tried going through the Microsoft Updates site but just get the mesage use the start menu all progarams update method .

Everything else works fine and i can dl other software no problem but i want install Microsoft .net etc

It seems its everything from Microsoft that fails to work

although i did manage to dl the System updates Readiness Tool for Windows 7 ..but it cannot find any updates either

Has MS stopped updates for W7 ?

Have you tried the MS Windows update fix-it tool
I've used it before and it resolved my problems, the same page has the manual method as well.

Gecko i did try the fix it tool but to no good ..i have now discovered that MS W7 Ultimate is no longer supported as from January 2015 so maybe that is why it would not find any updates !
