Internet search engines
Posted: Fri Dec 14, 2012 8:01 pmMy brother in law's computer has a glitch. He uses mozilla and searches with google. The problem is that when looking up a subject instead of a website, google switches to AOL search instead. Neither of us like the way AOL displays the information. Since he has win7, it was suggested to use the drop down on the tool bar and select manage search engines. I did this and deleted AOL, it still switched from google to aol search. I looked back at manage search engines and AOL search was still deleted. Very strange. Now a couple of hours later, it is back to behaving itself, with google the default search engine. A few days ago my laptop was doing the same thing. I went through the usual jabberwocky and managed to get rid of the problem, but don,t ask me how I managed, maybe it was because it is an old winxp and is haunted.
