we have a user that just upgraded from a Windows XP machine to a Windows 7 Machine. All of their documents were originally typed in Font Arial but now are displaying as Font Arial Italic. I reinstalled Arial Font and it displays most things correctly however when he prints to his HP Deskjet printer it prints a bunch of lines and dashes or it prints in arial italics. He also is claiming that the fonts in IE and other areas are also displaying weird.

I tried this on two more PCs it did the same thing on one but not the other. I was able to display and print the document normally on a windows xp and windows 7 pc but I tried it on another windows 7 pc and the same document came up with a slight slant and printed like that as well like it was italicized. I really need an answer to this problem because he's starting to complain to others.

OK found a solution. apparently on some HP computers there's a problem with HPs auto installer where it doesn't properly install the verdana or the arial fonts. you need to locate them and reinstall them.
C:\Windows\winsxs\******microsoft-windows-font-truetype-arial_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_ce7861d6c70c1a93
C:\Windows\winsxs\******microsoft-windows-font-truetype-verdana_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_1a6e14c718deeae7
locate the file and double click on it (*****= information that is different depending on the machine)
