Sound Drivers

Hey guys, i just formatted my PC and put XP back on but im having a problem getting the sound drivers installed as there was no CD with my PC to install it. I know i can download the drivers but to do that i need to find out my mother board type, is there any easyier way to do this rather that taking it out the PC?
