Microsoft Windows System Info

All versions of Windows 7, 2008 and Vista including 32 bit and 64 bit

I guess it is a problem with Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). I'm saying so because I have other problems with the same issues. Like LAN Connection properties cannot be displayed. (Right click on the connection, Properties, Advanced) I am getting this message:

Windows cannot display the properties of this connection. The Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) information might be corrupted. To correct this, use System Restore, or restore Windows to an earlier time (called a restore point). System Restore is located in the System Tools Folder in Accessories.

- Another problem is that the HELP contents cannot be displayed. For example if I am running Microsoft Internet Explorer, System Inforamtion, Microsoft Office etc... Instead of the help contents there is the ACTION CANCELED error message (as the one given with the IE). I can notice the Firefox is not effected with this problem.

I hope this can help. Thanks.

Take a look at these Event Log Errors:

Product: Windows Operating System
ID: 43
Source: WinMgmt
Version: 5.2
Symbolic Name: WBEM_MC_ADAP_CONNECTION_FAILURE
Message: WMI ADAP failed to connect to namespace %1 with the following error: %2

Explanation:
The Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) could not connect to the specified namespace. The default system locale was probably changed from the default for the product language to another locale.

WMI tries to connect to a namespace based on the code page of the system default locale. However, only the namespace for the language supported by the default installation of Windows is installed on the computer.

Make sure that your Operating System and Internet Explorer are up-to-date by visiting the and downloading all of the Critical Updates and Service Packs.
SP2 is users choice. I have not yet d/l SP2 on my XP computers as there are alot of issues with this Service Pack.

Looks like some critical files might be missing. I wonder if an OS reinstall is in order.

I think I am going to perform a format, but it's strange, and I really searching what is the cause of this mess. For example if it's some system cleaner (such as system mechanic, and does cleaners) that have deleted system files... but I'm finding this difficult.
