shutdown message in XP

Postby noby » Fri Apr 23, 2004 1:10 pm

Hi,

Is there a way to display a message on the screen when you shutdown the PC, and eg. waiting for a key to be hit before doing the actual shutdown in XP? If the second part is not possible, I guess the first one would have to do.

this would help some thoughtless users....

thanx

Do you mean the "Log off" Screen?
Control Panel / User Accounts / "Change how Users log on/off.

When I shut down the computer, I want to display a message on the screen. I don't care how it is done, if I can edit the message. It is not by logging off.
As an example : could i start a *.bat file at that moment?, or display another desktop theme (in which i put the message)

I hope this shows my meaning a little better

thanks to all inputters

Works for me. Show us the shortcut you created.
To post an image you must upload it to a site with a URL. Then you can link to it.

Brad,

your post worked, I overlooked the space.
I thought that I had sent you a reply, telling you it is ok, but something must have gone wrong at the posting of my last message.

sorry 'bout that

thanks as usual - (when do you guys send the bill?)
