Downlaoding problems

Postby stevebiks » Sat Mar 13, 2004 9:32 am

okay wel about 4 months ago I tryed to downlaod JCreator for my PC and I couldn't get it to ever work right, so I just uninstalled and deleted it from my desktop. Anyway ever since everytime I try to download anything that ends in ".exe" it will be saved as a ".java" file. This is very frusterating because then when I click on the file to open/install it it asks for jCeator. Does anyone know how to fix this its really driving me crazy!!!

thanks alot for any help

-Sean

Ps. im running XP, and this happends with both netscape and explorer.

Next time when you see the Download Window and click on "Save", look at the bottom.... "Save file as type". Click the dropdown and select "Application".
Here's the fix:
Back up the current Registry first.
